The Habit Burger Grill and San Diego Fans Raise More Than $11,000 For Reboot, Helping San Diego Veterans Transition Back to Civilian Life

The Habit Burger Grill and thousands of hungry fans in San Diego raised more than $11,000 to support Reboot (NVTSI), a non-profit that helps veterans transition back to civilian life. As a way to celebrate National Burger Month, and to introduce its new San Diego based catering truck, The Habit held fundraising events through San Diego County with 100% of the proceeds going to Reboot Workshops held by National Veterans Transitional Services, Inc.

(NVTSI) has helped thousands of veterans make the challenging switch back to civilian life through workshops that focus on relearning civilian culture while using military skills to their advantage. The educational workshops build upon military training and experience while preparing for life after the military. “OPERATION REBOOT” will match veterans with more than 500 area businesses.

“Reboot Workshops are all about helping veterans learn new habits. At Reboot, we focus on taking the positive training from the military and adding back in the soft skills necessary for a better quality of life as a civilian. This financial support will allow us to offer another workshop this year, and we are very grateful to The Habit and the people of San Diego for their support,” said Maurice Wilson, president and executive director of NVTSI.
“At The Habit, better burgers are just the beginning as we serve the community. We appreciate the support of our San Diego fans and excited to know this effort will help Reboot serve even more veterans,” said Russ Bendel, CEO of the Habit Burger Grill.
