(IRVINE, CA) July 6th, 2020 – The Habit Burger Grill, the California-based restaurant company renowned for its award-winning Charburgers, signature sandwiches, and hand-cut salads, is proud to announce they are redirecting 100% of donations made through Uber Eats to their long-standing foundation partner No Kid Hungry.
Uber recently launched the in-app donation option to serve as a place for customers to contribute and support their favorite restaurants who may have been affected by the pandemic. The Habit Burger Grill was overwhelmed by their customers’ support and honored that they had received so many donations. While the pandemic impacted The Habit’s business, they have chosen to disperse their funds to continue to give back to the community during this time. Currently, The Habit Burger Grill and their participating Las Vegas and Seattle market franchise partners, have received over $15,000 and will commit to donating all additional funds received.
Iwona Alter, Chief Brand Officer, of Habit Restaurants, LLC states, “We are humbled by the response and support from our loyal customers. This has been a trying time for many businesses and restaurants and it means the world to receive these donations. Since The Habit has always been focused on supporting our communities, we decided to redirect these funds to help fight childhood hunger with our long-standing foundation partner No Kid Hungry.”
The announcement comes on the heels of The Habit Burger Grill’s recent innovations amidst COVID-19 including several modes of contactless service and providing over 25,000 complimentary meals to front line workers throughout Southern California with their fleet of food trucks.
